What's Dada
Overview
Dada is a movement in art and literature that flourished mainly in Switzerland, Germany, and France in the early twentieth century, immediately after the World War I, which was characterized by ‘deliberate irrationality, anarchy, and cynicism and the rejection of laws of beauty and social organization.’

The movement became later associated with later styles, movements and groups including Surrealism , Pop Art and Fluxus .
The anarchic spirit of Dada can be seen in the works of Hugo Ball (Zurich), Kart Schwitters (Berlin), Francis Picabia (Paris) Jean Arp (German/French), Marcel Duchamp (French/American), Man Ray (American).
