Haroldo de Campos
Haroldo
de Campos is a poet, essayist and translator who were born in Sao Paulo in 1929. Along with his brother
Augusto de Campos and Decio Pignatari he was a founder of the ‘concrete poetry'
movements of the 1950s in Brazil.
During
his career Campos
has created 12 books of poetry, 18 literary studies, and 14 translations and
also, he has created projects for the theater, cinema and the plastic arts. Campos's poems were created in Brazilian languages. His earlier
work includes translations of the Pound, Joyce, Mallarme and other modern writers
work.
