Among the Brazilians authors, Augusro de Campos, Haraldo de Campos, and Decio Pignatari play a major role in Concrete Poetry. These artists formed in 1952 the Brazilian Noigandres group in Sao Paolo, which is expanded after that with Pedro Xisto, Edgard Braga and others.
Augusto de Campos
Augusto de Campos is a poet, translator and critic born in Sao Paulo in 1931. His Poetamenos, written in 1953, illustrate the vision of Brazilian
concrete poetry. Poetamenos contained
a series of color-poemas (printed in several colors). According to Druker, J.
this work identifies various themes and voices (male and female) through these

Since then his work was highly recognized and has been in many International exhibitions including London, Bloomington, New York City, and France. Since 1980, he has increased his experiments with the new media, showing poems using electric billboards, videotext, neon, hologram and laser, computer graphics, animated digital clips and in multimedia events involving sound and music.
